Corticeira Amorim presents its 8th Sustainability Report

For the eighth consecutive year, Corticeira Amorim launches its Sustainability Report, an edition that compiles the main initiatives of the company in this matter.

HIGHLIGHTS

• Sales reach € 542.5 million;
• 80,000 employee hours distributed between 47 R&D projects;
• 17,7% increase in hours of training and qualification;
• 96% of waste was sent for recovery (vs 93% in 2012);
• 25,5% reduction in the carbon intensity indicator, since 2006;
• 3250 students involved in the environmental education initiatives.

In the year under review, Corticeira Amorim recorded one of its best years, with consolidated sales reaching 542.5 million euros. In terms of revenues, however, the company's sound performance was strongly influenced by the devaluation of all export currencies.
